    In Niger, there are some signs of concern regarding
    the grain deficit, which is estimated at 343,560
    tonnes, power outages, and, most of all,
    the sudden shutdown for at least two months
    of uranium mining at SOMAÏR, following the
    double suicide bombing at Arlit last May.
    However, thanks to a determined effort by the
    government, more than CFAF 1,200 billion
    in both internal and external resources has been
    mobilised.
